Joseph is the son of Matthias and Anne (Debough) Mount.

Elsje^4 Van Wickle(n)
(Simon^3, Evert^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 29 May 1723 and bap. 9 June 1723 in New Utrecht RDC, L.I., NY, and she died about 1756. She married Joseph Mount, 28 September 1741 in Somerset, NJ. Joseph was b. 1719 (New Utrecht, L.I.) and is the son of Matthias and Anne (Debough) Mount. After Elsje died abt. 1756, Joseph married Frances Bronson. Joseph died by drowning and on July 4, 1764, his sons Simon and Mathias chose their uncles Nicasius Van Wickle and Jacob Suidam as guardians.

Children: Joseph^5 Henry Mount was b. 1742 and died 1744. Simon^5 Mount was b. 1746 in Raritan, NJ and bap. 22 April 1746 at Harlingen RDC in Somerset, NJ. He married Anna _____, and he died in South Amboy in 1809/10. Ann^5 Mount was b. 1746 and bap. 27 December 1746 at Harlingen RDC. and died 8 October 1816. She married Nicholas DuBois on 4 July 1773. Mathias^5 Mount was b. 1749 and bap. 20 May 1749 at Harlingen RDC. He resided near Matcheponix, NJ. His second wife was named Mary ____. He died 1822 at age 74 y 24 days and was buried in Tennent Churchyard. Joseph^5 Mount was b. 1752 
and died 1826 in Princeton, NJ. He married Mary Baylis (b. 9 July 1755), the dau. of John and Susannah Baylis. Evert^5 Mount was b. 1753 and bap. 13 May 1753 in New Brunswick RDC, NJ Evert v. Wickelen, witness. Diena^5 Mount was b. 1756 and bap. 7 March 1756 New Brunswick RDC with "Dina Van Wiklem", witness.

NJHS Prs 54-122 Liber H of Wills p. 508 notes "Nicase Van Wickle of the Co of Middlesex and Jacob Suidam of the Co of Somerset were chosen their guardians by Simon and Matthias Mount, children of Joseph Mount, above the age of 14 years and under 21 years, July 4, 1764."

Her bp wit by Nicasius Kouwenhoven and Elsje s.v. (grand parents) PNJHS 54:201 They owned until 1772 (incl widow) a house at Raritan Landing near her father's, on road sep the south bank of the river. 1772-6 owned by her bro. Nicasius.
